Bio

Lou Alpert specializes in Lakewood, Hollywood Heights, White Rock Lake, the Munger and Swiss Avenue Historical Districts, M-Streets, Lake Highlands, and Forest Hills real estate. As a partner in Team Whiteside, Lou Alpert is dedicated to providing her clients with professional and enthusiastic customer service. With a clear understanding of the unique qualities of each of the neighborhoods she sells, Lou Alpert will listen to your needs and guide you through your home search, assisting in finding the home and community best suited for you. Founder of the Lakewood Service League and involved in an assortment of East Dallas charities and schools, Lou Alpert is an active participant in the community.

Today, the key to selling a home is having it priced well and packaged ready for presentation by a Realtor with comprehensive and current market knowledge. Lou Alpert grew up in Lakewood, exploring the neighborhood on her bike as a child. She then came back to the neighborhood to raise her own eight children. Lou knows that a home is more than a place to live and raise a family; it is often the largest investment that a family will make and is deserving of focused attention and service. Whether buying or selling, Lou prides herself in her ability to guide clients through each step of the process, providing a high level of expertise in all aspects of the transaction. Lou has rarely worked with a client who does not become a friend.

Lou came to real estate after a successful career in publishing. She started a children’s publishing company, operating it out of her home while raising her children. Managing 60 sales reps throughout the United States and abroad, overseeing art direction, product development, editorial, and advertising, she turned Whispering Coyote Press into a million dollar plus business. After ten years, she sold the company as an imprint to a larger publishing house in Boston. Long hours, exceptional commitment to her client’s needs, listening, negotiation and follow up are all skills that Lou now brings to her real estate career.

Whether selling or buying, Lou will bring the knowledge, skill, and expertise that is critical to accurately pricing, marketing, and selling your current home or professionally guiding you to the perfect new one.
